A new face
14 Dec 2015
Meet the newest member of the Junction Eleven team, Jordan.
What brought you to Junction Eleven?
I finished my foundation diploma in Art and Design and decided that university wasn’t the path I wanted. I needed a job; I tried to get a boring normal job which wasn’t happening at the time. After digging around for local studios, I stumbled across Junction Eleven. Impressed by the quality of work being produced and the facilities I applied for a job, and the rest is history.
What’s your experience/background?
Mainly self-taught. I was a part of the BFI Film Academy which was an intensive week of practical film and theory work, including a trip to Pinewood studios (which is amazing). I’ve always had an interest in art which is what I am all about.
What’s the most exciting/interesting/unusual shoot you’ve seen in the studios?
We have had a lot of exciting shoots coming in and out of the studio. Famous people, expensive cars, and luxury products are all exciting, interesting times in the studio. However the most interesting/exciting shoots for me, is where we have film crews in. I enjoy the pressures and demanding nature of a film shoot. It's normally controlled chaos, it’s great.
What was your highlight of 2015?
My highlight was probably passing driving test and getting a car. It’s changed the game!
What keeps you busy outside of work?
I have started up my own clothing label and multimedia platform called Moth Eaten Wisdom. It’s a creative safe haven for creatives and myself to express and go mad. I also support two businesses called The Impossible Floating Tap Company and Direct Print Solutions.
