Seeing double for Alexander Dennis
17 Nov 2014
Junction Eleven's production team, photographers, designers and print specialists all came together for the launch of a new product for the British Bus Manufacturer
Overcoming obstacles every step of the way - all in a day's work for the Junction Eleven team
When Alexander Dennis, the UK’s leading bus and coach manufacturer came to us to provide the ideal solution to their double decker dilemma we were more than happy to take on the challenge. In this instance, given timings and product availability, we advised that location photography was the best solution, so our team packed their bags and travelled up to Scotland.
Given the high sensitivity of the embargoed vehicle, our Shoot Production team firstly had to source a large indoor space at short notice, close to the company’s manufacturing plant. This had to be the right size with the right lighting. No mean feat. But we were able to find exactly that on the neighbouring industrial estate meaning we could transport the embargoed vehicles discreetly and easily. Our producers were even able to persuade the owners of the warehouse to open for us at the weekend for the shoot to take place in between our photographer's booked weekday diaries. A real triumph in pulling out all the stops to make the shoot happen.
The second challenge was to visually demonstrate the two variations of the radical new bus on offer, but with access to only one! Our photographer captured the shots and retouchers came to the rescue, duplicating the one available double decker into two and making the required product alterations and colour changes.
Junction Eleven are unique in that we can oversee every aspect from start to finish, so to complete the job we also designed and printed a 12 page brochure and accompanying dye cut presentation folder to support the launch.
A perfect example of our team pulling together in force, a successful launch and a very happy client.
